Amon: Why did you start this project?
Author: Initially, I was looking for ways to make money.
Amon: Is it still your major goal?
Author: No. I’m having too much fun, making this an interesting page. Mainly for myself too, but I’m happy if someone else likes this as much as me.
Amon: Why am I the protagonist?
Author: You’re asking me as if I need a reason.
Amon: Why me? I feel like my life only exists of misery and fog – fog that covers my insides, especially my brain.
Author: Well, I like to think that you already existed.
Amon: But haven’t you created me?
Author: In a way, maybe. But I like to view your life and the lives of everyone else around you as something that already exists somewhere, I only uncovered your story and decided to take the role of the author – since you can’t tell the story yourself.
Amon: But I’m already telling the story myself – isn’t it my voice people hear when they read about me?
Author: Yes, but you need someone to give you a place to talk – that’s what I’m here for. And while the majority of what I do is give you an actual voice that people can hear, I also have to solve the puzzle and put together what you don’t know, but what is of importance for the readers.
Amon: What do you mean by that?
Author: You might think you know a lot, but you really don’t. I know more than you, Amon. I not only know your thoughts, but the thoughts of the people around you. The same counts for motives, ideas, passions, and so on. To you and you’re life story, I’m a superior being.
Amon: So you’re god?
Author: A god would have a certain power over other beings, but I don’t possess such thing. I only extract and retell what I discover.
Amon: Very interesting, but in a way that gives me an existential crisis.
Author: Yes, I know.
Amon: Do you have a question for me?
Author: Why do you think you’re the protagonist?
Amon: Shouldn’t you already know the answer to that?
Author: Knowing is one thing, I want to hear it from you.
Amon: Well, hm… This is hard.
Author: Of course it is, I ask you something that you haven’t chosen on your own and still you try and find reasoning behind it. What if there’s no reason at all? What if it just is as it is and no one could’ve changed something about it anyway?
Amon: You and your philosophical questions. What if I’m just the person with the most interesting energy? Or maybe one that is most compatible to your own, maybe you were drawn to me because we’re similar.
